| New Building: |
Three-story building encompasses 100,000 square feet on a
9.6 acre site in the Longacres Office Park, on land purchased from the Boeing Company.
Building footprint is 64,000 square feet.
The building façade is a limestone-buff concrete with a vertical textured finish. Large scale windows bays have metal-clad frames with clear-green glass for shadowbox effect.
Designed by Boora Architects of Portland, Oregon.
General contractor/construction manager Hoffman Construction.
Groundbreaking: August 2005.
Construction cost: approximately $53 million. |
| Function: |
A Pacific Northwest regional cash operation, receiving and
distributing currency and coin to financial institutions in
Washington, Oregon, Alaska and Northern Idaho.
The Branch also houses approximately 100 employees for their
functions in cash services, administration, human resources,
customer support, public information, community development,
facilities, procurement, police services and information
technology.
The Seattle Branch has a seven-member board of directors who, along with other 12th District directors, provide the Federal Reserve System with economic information for their respective industries and regions. This information, along with other resources, is used by the Federal Reserve when reaching monetary policy decisions. |

1015 Second Avenue, Seattle, Washington 98104
The six-story building with 110,000 square feet sits on a half-block
parcel of 24,920 square feet.
The building was designed by Naramore, Bain, Brady, and
Johnson Architects and Engineers of Seattle.
This former Branch location is now vacant. Milt Reimers and Gary
Volchok of CB Richard Ellis have been engaged to handle the sale
of this building.
The Seattle Branch was established in 1917 and originally occupied a building at 1110 Second Avenue before the 1015 Second Avenue building was built. |

Tours of the new Seattle Branch in Renton will be available to the
public beginning this Fall 2008 by appointment. |
