Valerie Ramey is a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution and a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). She is also a professor emeritus at the University of California-San Diego, where she taught for thirty-six years. Ramey is also a research fellow of the Center for Economic Policy and Research, a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a fellow of the Econometric Society. Her recent work has studied the size of government spending multipliers and has estimated the projected effects of climate change on economic growth.
This seminar is part of the Virtual Seminar on Climate Economics series hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and is open to everyone interested in research on the economics of climate change.
