Celebrating International Women’s Day, ‘An Equal World is an Enabled World’

The San Francisco Fed joined organizations around the globe in celebrating
International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8.

The week leading up to IWD, our Women’s Professional Network asked its members
and allies to come together to take a few photos. Employees showed up big
time—at our branches and sending pics from their home offices. The photo at
the top of this post was taken at San Francisco headquarters on March 4. Head

What did the experiences mean to us? Much more than photos. These were
opportunities to join in solidarity around this year’s IWD theme,
An equal world is an enabled world. It’s a message that reminds us that collectively we can challenge bias and
help create a gender equal world, as colleagues and through our work.
