Artists and cultural institutions have an important role to play in neighborhood social and economic vitality. As community developers consider how best to reimagine space they can and should look to the arts to help create place. This work, otherwise known as “creative placemaking,” is beginning to take shape across the country. Come join this workshop to explore creative placemaking:
- What is it?
- How is it done?
- How is it measured?
- How is it funded?
Learn how community developers, artists and cultural institutions can work together to improve the social and economic vitality of Arizona’s neighborhoods. The workshop will feature conversations with leaders in the creative placemaking field.
Check out a recent issue of the Community Development Investment Review dedicated to this emerging work. Videos from the launch event are available on our YouTube channel.
