The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is organizing its annual Micro-Macro Labor Economics Conference, which will feature research in labor economics from both micro and macro perspectives. The conference objective is to provide an opportunity for top scholars to present and discuss high-quality and high-impact research, with no further limitation on paper topics. We encourage both empirical and theoretical submissions. The program will consist of 5-6 selected papers, each of which will have two discussants. We plan to hold the conference in person at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco on Friday, December 6, 2024.

This year will feature a day-ahead workshop for junior scholars (Ph.D. within the last 7 years) on Thursday December 5, 2024. Authors are asked to indicate interest in being considered as part of the regular submission.

Submission procedure:

If you have a paper that you would be interested in presenting, please send a pdf of the complete paper or an extended abstract to SF.ER.MicroMacroConference@sf.frb.org by August 9, 2024.

Authors of accepted papers will be notified by August 23, 2024. The Bank will reimburse travel expenses for presenters and discussants. Electronic copies of the conference papers will be made available at frbsf.org/news-and-media/events/conferences/.
